Just wondering if there is somewhere I can buy custom made Backpacks suitable for heavy school use and a 17" laptop [Alienware m17x] ?

I will be doing quite a bit of traveling between US and Canada by air, and international flights out of the US.

I understand that backpack style laptop bags were banned earlier this year as a carry-on item. I am wonder has this changed? Thank you very much.

I’m looking for a solar charging backpack that can charge a laptop. It needs to fit a 17 inch laptop. I’m looking for 1 under 0 but if no one can find one that cheap i’ll be good with a more expensive one.

Money is really no problem,Im going to use this for a while and plan on buying a laptop as well, so it needs to hold school books and the laptop but not look like a big dorky bag…any suggestions?

I own a Lucas backpack and laptop case. I love the quality of what they produce. I wanted to see what was available on their web site, but I cant find one. I Googled it, but had no luck.

i’m getting a 13 inch macbook pro for school and don’t know if I should get a laptop bag or just get a backpack that has a part for my computer to fit convieniently…what do you think and why?

I’m looking for a good backpack that has a separate area for a laptop that can be easily accessed from the outside. Many backpacks have a padded sleeve in the main section, but you can only access it through that main section. I noticed a couple of the Oakley backpacks have a side zippered access, but was wondering if anyone knew of any others.

I need a new backpack for college next year. I am looking at the North Face Heckler and I really like it, except it only has one large pocket and not two. Any suggestions? I am thinking more of a North Face or Dakine and I need to fit my 15.6 inch laptop into it. Thanks!

They are priced better than SwissGear and The North Face but I haven’t heard anything about them. I’m wanting to get a good laptop backpack before the fall semester.

im getting a flight in 8 hours. I have a specialize laptop backpack were i usually put my laptop, psp, ipod and books. would this count as my 2nd hand luggage as i already have another backpack for other things?

I have a laptop backpack and a iron on patch to put on it, I need to know if I iron it on, glue it on (if so, hot glue, gorilla glue, super glue, etc.), or sew on? I need to know so I don’t catch the backpack on fire!!!

We have tickets for tomorrow’s taping and are taking Amtrak up to NYC and going home to DC after the show. We will be bringing our laptops so we can work on the train. The tickets are not clear on if they will allow us to bring in laptop bags/backpacks and we’re trying to figure out if we need to make alternate arrangements or if they will have a bag check onsite, or just allow us to bring our bags. I got this awesome acer 8943g laptop. It’s great but i can’t find a backpack that could fit it.
It’s dimensions are 1.7×17.3×11.6 inches.
After buying it and doing some research on bags I found out most 17 inch laptop bags, only fit a laptop that measures like 16 inches.
So some links to bags that would fit this that would make it easier to carry on the train and bus with me.
